Past Event: Brain Matters 2015 Conference – Nov 10-11, 2015

As some of you know, this was our first Brain Matters online conference and I had a lot of help from some wonderful friends and colleagues. Our sponsor, Digi-Quest, provided the expertise and technology to make the event happen. Our speakers donated their time and some very nice gifts to elaborate on our “genius” theme. And our audience stayed engaged and connected, asking questions, participating in learning activities, quizzes and polls. Here are a few of the comments we received from our participants:

“Amazing session! I am so glad that I am not the only one who thinks that our “life trajectory” continues upward throughout life. Thanks, Trudi Baldwin! You’re my people. I hope to meet you face to face some day!”

“I live in Raleigh, North Carolina. I met Margie at Training Magazine’s Online Learning conference a few weeks ago. Her session was great, and I won her book.”

“Margie, I have a copy of your book and am thrilled with it.  It is truly an incredible learning tool that I reference frequently.”

“I was amazed at how important journaling is to learning. It was mentioned in nearly every presentation.”

“This conference came at just the right time for me. I just started my own business and now I feel much more confident and I’m ready to bring out my inner genius!”

“Margie, thank you for the opportunity to attend. I’ve enjoyed the sessions. I have to sign off for the rest of the conference, but it has been really great!”

Congratulations to all of our “raffle” winners: Sheila B., Kimberly J., Dee B., Ilse V., Ivanna T., A. Farina, Rey C., Stephanie J., Lauren N., Ming N., Eva D., Linda P. and Vianna T.

The conference was dedicated to schedule speaker Jay Cross, who passed away just days before our conference began. Many of us know Jay through his pioneering work and his leadership in the learning and development field. Please keep Jay and his family in your thoughts and prayers.

In honor of the 100th anniversary of Einstein’s General Theory of Relativity, this year’s Brain Matters online conference explored the lights turning on inside our brains, unleashing our inner genius through neuroscience.

On November 10-11, 2015, learning professionals around the world gathered online  to explore the neuroscience of genius.

In the Brain Matters 2015 conference, we explored the nature of genius through the lens of neuroscience. We wanted to discover what, if anything, is unique about the genius brain and learn how we can train our own brains to bring out our unique genius. We came away with a deeper understanding of your own brain and some practical tips for enhancing its performance.
